Egypt
Egypt to me is a saga of death. Mystic, fascinating and ancient. The yellow sand, blue Nile and green palms...so uniquely refreshing.......with breathtaking landscapes. The Arabic music haunts you and the monuments take you you 5000 years back in history. The sphinx representing the intelligence of human beings while power of a lion. A civilization with the world famous Pyramids and huge temples.... every monument depicting their gods with bird or animal heads and every thing ultimately about death, mummification, treasures for life after death and the journey beyond.

उलझन
युही एक दीन मैंने उलझन से पुछा
करती हो क्यो तुम युही सबका पीछा
उलझन भी उलझी उलझन में कह गई
यही मैंने अब तक न सोचा न समझा
मुक्ती

It was my first trek in the Himalayas. Wow! It was awesome.......... A never before experience for me! At the Babeli base camp sitting on the banks of river Beas was something we all loved. We saw the fury of the rain god in the form of hail stones during the most difficult climb to Mayli thatch. All higher camps were amazingly picturesque.
At Segli camp our tents were pitched at a cliff and the sun set that we saw is unforgettable with the riot of colors in the west. Hora thatch..... the next camp was green........ among pine trees and tents pitched at different levels. The third higher camp Mayli thatch was surrounded by snow clad mountain peaks and Himalaya's glory made us all humble. Daura thatch was the highest camp at 12000 ft.with many glaciers and deep valley on one side.
The next day was fun with the climb to our dream destination....Saurkundi Pass. Saurkund was partly frozen and what a splendid sight.....peaks and ranges of Himalaya on all sides....... 360 degrees.......it was simply magnificent, majestic and breathtaking!
We did slides on glaciers to descend down....that was cool! Longa thatch our next camp was among trees with a view of snow clad mountain peak and the valley with small towns! The last camp Lekhni was a log house. The camp fire at Lekhni was very entertaining with skits, songs and mimicry. A memorable trek with family and many friends was like a dream come true.
